You read the IASB news. But who do you discuss it with?

    An invitation to qualified conversations

Tiego is planning a small network of recurring IFRS lunches – for those who want to move from news and standard-setting to real impact on accounting and reporting.

    First session

    Date
    Thursday 1 October 2026
    Time
    11:30–13:30
    Venue
    Tiego, Sveavägen 68, Stockholm

    Fredrik Walmeus, Deloitte

For those who follow the developments

The target group is people who work at a qualified level with IFRS and group reporting, but who do not always have an in-house IFRS department to test ideas and interpretations with on an ongoing basis.

    From monitoring to practical application

Each lunch starts from a concentrated selection of developments at the IASB, IFRIC and EFRAG. A short introduction is followed by an open conversation between people with experience in accounting, reporting and implementation.

    Monitor

What is new – and what is on the way?

    Understand

Which judgements and processes are affected?

    Implement

What is required in terms of data, systems and reports?

A forum for exchanging experience – not a lecture series and not a sales meeting.

A small forum with high relevance – what could we discuss?

Themes are chosen close to each session and are always related to companies' actual reporting. The following questions are current examples ahead of autumn 2026.

    AreaQuestionPractical perspective
IFRS 18From standard to implementationIncome statement categories, new subtotals, MPM, aggregation and comparatives. What changes are needed in the chart of accounts, reporting packages and group reporting ahead of 2027?
IAS 7The cash flow statement under developmentThe IASB continues its work on the statement of cash flows and related matters. How do we build a robust flow from opening-to-closing balance analysis to the statement and the notes?
IFRS 16What remains after implementation? The post-implementation review brings judgements, data quality and practical application issues in lease accounting back onto the agenda.
IAS 38Intangible assets in a digital economyThe IASB is examining how today's requirements work for modern business models, using SaaS as one test case.
IFRS 3Acquisitions, goodwill and follow-upForthcoming disclosures may affect what information about expected synergies and acquisition performance needs to be captured and tracked over time.

    We start small

Tiego will first invite a small number of clients together with an accounting expert. The ambition is to create a trusted conversation in which participants both gain and contribute knowledge. After that, we let the group's needs shape what comes next.

    Interested in taking part?

Register your interest and feel free to tell us which IFRS issue you would like to discuss. The first session is on 1 October at Sveavägen 68 – and you are equally welcome to register interest in future lunches.
